Hotels in Kiev do not want to pay tourist tax. Profile non-governmental organizations explain that the rules spelled are not quite clear thus it is impossible to determine which institutions must be necessarily levied, and which not. "That is, the hotel tax must be worked out in detail, as well as, its effectiveness, and interest rates, and who should pay.
For today it is not quite intelligible. Hotels do not want to pay, the administration is trying to collect money and today is chaos and imbalance", - said the deputy president of the association of tourism, Andrey Lunev. After the tourists were obliged to pay tourist tax in Kiev, since January 1, 2011 tourist tax was imposed by Lviv City Council. After that, the city council of Lutsk has also introduced a tourist tax. In turn, the State simplified the rules for Ukrainian hotels. In particular, till 2021 Ukrainian hotels are exempt from income tax. |
