Slavutich Hotel received first guests in April 1972, the original name of the Hotel was Rusanovskaya, because it is situated on the artificial island Rusanovskiy, formed by the Dnepr branch and artificial circular channel.
In August 1972 the Hotel was renamed and got its modern name Slavutich.
The building of the Hotel was built on an individual project in the form of the open book, as if inviting guests.
The name of the Hotel Slavutich descends from the Old Slavic name of the river Dnepr.
