The preparation of infrastructure for Euro 2012 has been successfully completed. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych at the meeting of the Committee on preparation and holding of finals of European Football Championship in 2012, reports the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
The President noted in particular that during the time of preparation for Euro 2012 the airports in the country were renovated, the stadiums were built and rebuilt, hotels and modern highways were also built.
Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Infrastructure, Boris Kolesnikov, speaking during the meeting said that despite the catastrophic behind schedule for the preparation of Ukraine for Euro 2012 two years ago, now all the necessary facilities are ready.
"Soon the last object will be completed, which was scheduled to be completed for Euro 2012 - it is a part of Kyiv-Zhytomyr highway. In fact, at this stage the preparation for the tournament will be completed," - said Kolesnikov.
Recall, on May 28, a new terminal complex - terminal "D" which is the largest in Ukraine - was opened at the Boryspil airport. Minister of Infrastructure Borys Kolesnikov said that the terminal "D" was the largest airport in Ukraine: it has an area of 107 thousand sq.m. and can serve up to 15 million passengers a year.
A new terminal complex includes 61 receptions, 18 security control points, 28 passport control booths. |
