KIEV, May 16 Marina Shmayun. The leader of the parliamentary joint opposition Yulia Tymoshenko said that Ukraine's political opposition forces did not plan to unite into a single party to further participation in the elections.
"Nobody is planning to join, in this traditional vision of the process.
The point is that strong coordination is required for Ukraine in such difficult time.
Co-ordination - is not the leadership of a single political force or a single political leader.
Coordination - is the ability to sit at the round table and without leadership, without any authoritarian pressure to make a decision simply to coordinate your actions to the opposition to counter the processes currently taking place in Ukraine", - said Tymoshenko's on Saturday night at Ukrainian TV channel Inter.
Tymoshenko reminded that she proposed the political forces assessing the policy of the new government as a betrayal of national interests, without delay, to gather on equal rights, the fight for democracy.
"I believe that today neither leadership, nor ratings, nor ambition have value. That is why I offered no leadership. Today there are not just facts but enormous challenges which face Ukraine and oblige us to sit down together to coordinate efforts," - the former Prime was quoted by her press office.
"Certainly, in the next election, I'm sure all will go alone and will earn the favor of people - this is democracy. You can not say: unite into one party, in one block or one association. Then you need to put a point on democracy, but coordination - is what I call for, and I believe that my colleagues will support me", - said Tymoshenko. |
