Domestic universities in September will be able to take 120 Russian budget-students.
With the new academic year, hundreds of Ukrainian students will be able to study free of charge in Russian universities, and their Russian colleagues now have the opportunity to enter our universities on a budgetary basis.
This was agreed in Moscow by the Ministers of Education of Ukraine and Russia Dmitry Tabachnik and Andrei Fursenko.
Russia has a similar agreement with Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, and Russia signed an agreement with Ukraine for the first time. Previously, only 270 of our students were able to enter for free the universities of Russia, and then only under specific educational programs of individual universities.
'In Russia 273 Ukrainian students are studying now on different programs at the "budget", and in Ukraine, all 4000 of Russians are studying on a contract basis - told us the Minister of Education Dmitry Tabachnik.
- Now injustice will be corrected, and from September 1 in our country for the first time 120 students from Russia will be able to get free education. A quota for Ukrainian students will be expanded to at least 300, or even more."
According to the minister, a list of universities where students can learn on exchange, will be disclosed closer to September. "At first, students will pass the internal examination, collect the wishes of students, the exact universities they want to study abroad.
Clearly, a list of Russians may be more than a quota of 120 seats. Therefore, the best of the best will go to us. Our students will be selected on the same principle for education in Russian universities. Russians will select from public universities KPI, NAU, HAI. They will be taught in Russian, - explained Tabachnik.
Students will learn to achieve the Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree and PhD Degree. "In addition, we plan to create a separate plan for research, teaching internships, business trips, training courses for middle and high school - said Tabachnik.
- In Moscow, I met with the Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Rector of Moscow State University named after Lomonosov, Victor Sadovnichy. He suggested that a large group of Ukrainian teachers on Physics and Mathematics could retrain at the expense of the University in the nearest future". |
