One of the most important tasks for the new president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych is the formation of the new ruling coalition in parliament, which will help him to remove Yulia Tymoshenko from the post of Prime Minister and appoint a new cabinet.
In addition, the situation may be influenced by the leaders of EU countries who have established good relations with Tymoshenko, "Nezavisimaya Gazeta (Independent Newspaper)" writes. Perhaps new head of state will be able to "pin ears back" with the government of Tymoshenko in two weeks.
In the president's speech, writes Kommersant, Yanukovych outlined his main priorities: the reform of government downsizing, the creation of "a functioning executive branch, which will affect immediately the sectors of the economy and social sphere", as well as the creation of a "strong and stable parliamentary majority."
These tasks have become the verdict to the Government of Yulia Tymoshenko. However, not everybody supports them and it will not be easy for the president to create a coalition. On the eve the deputy of PSD Andrew Paruby announced that his parliamentary group is not going to have negotiations with Party of Regions, as Viktor Yanukovych alluded to join the Single Economic Space with Russia and did not exclude the renewal of the contract on the presence of the Black Sea fleet in the Crimea, which in his opinion is unacceptable.
