Ordinary management staff of the State Automobile Inspection in Odessa got new lists with the numbers of "untouchable" machines.
The list, which came in order today, - has the names of top officials of the city and region. One of the city traffic police inspectors told the newspaper on condition of anonymity, that these lists are always updated with the advent of the new authorities.
It is forbidden to stop and to check documents and the condition of the driver. Even if such a vehicle violates traffic laws (except for accidents), traffic cop is required "not to notice" that. Moreover, the policeman must "salute VIP-car".
"The inspector must know these numbers by heart. If the officers pass by, traffic police must give a salute and ensure unimpeded passage. And God forbid he forgets to do this!
He will be called on the carpet to the authorities. If the inspector was busy checking and didn't notice "the big fish", the officials call to the traffic police and require to punish the negligent "- said the law enforcers.
The regional governor Eduard Matviychuk takes the first place in the list, followed by his assistants, as well as the head of the Odessa Regional Council, Nikolai Pundik.
Then - Mayor Alex Kostusev and his assistants. The mayor of Odessa has admitted that he heard about the list for the first time. "It is a strange document. I will ask who the author is"- said Kostusev.
The newspaper writes that the chief of regional management of the Security Service of Ukraine, Victor Kobylchaka, and head of the regional department of internal affairs have three cars each.
The first one uses Lexus, Toyota Land Cruiser and Toyota Camry, the second - Mercedes, Toyota Land Cruiser and Toyota Avalon. Meanwhile, traffic police admits the existence of the secret list, but they refuse to talk about its destination.
