Kiev. February 21. About 100 foreign delegations are expected to visit the inauguration of newly elected President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich on February 25, said one of the organizers of this event, the deputy leader of the Party of Regions Sergei Levochkin.
"For today we have confirmation of the presidents of Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Latvia. The European Union will be presented by Baroness Ashton (EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton - IF), who confirmed yesterday her participation.
And there will be the U.S. delegation, headed by General Jones, the Presidential Adviser for National Security (James Jones - IF)", - said S. Levochkin to the reporters on Sunday.
According to him, the inauguration on the decision of Viktor Yanukovych will be attended, in the first place, by the delegations from neighboring countries, the EU, the CIS, "G20", as well as by major trading partners of Ukraine.
However, he noted that the celebrations will be "maximally modest", taking into accout the complexity of financial and economic situation in Ukraine.
"No parades, no fireworks are planned, and everything will be modest ... We want this to be the most solemn, and that the people of Ukraine can be proud of the day", - added S. Levochkin.
In addition, the deputy said that the organizers of the inauguration will try to "meet" the most modest budget. "The minimum, that only can be" - he assured.
