Kyiv, May 20. The former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has denied the accusations of the Chamber that her Government used reserve fund of the cabinet in violation of the law.
The Head of the Accounting Chamber Valentyn Symonenko said on Thursday that previous Ukrainian government headed by Yulia Tymoshenko in 2009 used more than 1 billion hryvnia ($ 125 million) from the reserve fund with violations of applicable laws.
"I want to refute the words of the head of the Accounting Chamber Valentyn Symonenko.
Unfortunately, he is a puppet of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich.
Every penny of the reserve fund of the Cabinet was spent on state business, spent for the intended purpose and for every penny I'm ready to report to law", - Tymoshenko said in a statement issued on Thursday on her personal website.
According to Tymoshenko, the global financial crisis took place during her premiership, but the government under her leadership was able to keep the country in a stable condition.
"My "fault" is only that I kept paying the pensions and salaries during the crisis, and did everything so that the country felt stable and secure," - said Tymoshenko.
She believes that the accusations are inspired by the Chamber of the President Yanukovych.
"Yanukovych has the task to discredite me, and even better - put in jail", - said Tymoshenko.
Previously, the General Prosecutor of Ukraine has resumed a closed criminal case against Tymoshenko in 2005, in which she was suspected of trying to bribe the judges of the Supreme Court of Ukraine.
The former Prime Minister, who is now leading the opposition, believes that this case - is political and it is also inspired personally by Yanukovych.
