Starokostiantyniv (Ukrainian: Старокостянтинів; also referred to as Starokonstantinov Russian: Староконстантинов) is a city in the Khmelnytskyi Oblast (province) of western Ukraine. Serving as the administrative center of the Starokostiantynivsky Raion (district), the city itself is also designated as a separate raion within the oblast.
Starokostyantyniv was founded in the 16th century when the Ukrainian magnate, Kostiantyn Ostroz'kyi (1460-1530), built a fortress at the village of Pomishchentsi. The village grew into a town and was called Kostiantyniv Staryi.
