News of Ukraine. The decision was made by the regional headquarters for the security of the Euro football championship. In the Ukrainian city of Donetsk, which is to take Euro 2012, the police have set two hundred video cameras for surveillance in public places and streets.
The media also reports that the same number of cameras will be set in Donetsk before the European Championship football matches. Such a decision was taken during the final meeting of the regional headquarters of the security of the championship under the leadership of Chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Andriy Shyshatskiy.
It is also reported that all data collected from the cameras will be kept at the Center of Law Enforcement Rapid Response.
All data and operational information about the current situation in the main objects of the Football Championship in Donetsk will be transferred there as well.
Donetsk authorities decided that the recreation area would become a "fan zone" from 3.00 a.m. for fans from other countries waiting for flights at the airport on match days.
The last meeting on the security of the European Championship is scheduled for May 22 in the capital city of Ukraine.
