Verkhnodniprovsk (Ukrainian: Верхньодніпровськ;Russian: Верхнеднепровск) is a city in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast (province) of Ukraine. Population is 16,976 (2001). Serving as the administrative center of the Verkhnodniprovskyi Raion (district). City is located at confluence of Samotkan river into Dniprodzerzhynsk Reservoir at Dnieper River.
City is located 13 km (8 mi) from train station named Verkhnodniprovsk in Novomykolaivka, 25 km (16 mi) north-west from Dniprodzerzhynsk, 73 km (45 mi) north-west from Dnipropetrovsk.
